Removing multiple spaces in posts/pages

  • So the problem I’m having is that my clients have a horrible tendency to add multiple spaces in their sentences. Sometimes it’s slightly acceptable, such as the end of a sentence, after a period. Other times, I’m finding three or more spaces being used. I can’t seem to use most search and replace tools to remove the spaces, as they see ” “(double spaces) as a null value, the same as a single space.
    Any plugins, tricks, etc. would be greatly appreciated

    I often see this with people from the typewriter age or beginners trying to use spaces as page layout techniques.

    I can’t seem to use most search and replace tools to remove the spaces, as they see ” “(double spaces) as a null value, the same as a single space.

    Which ones have you tried? Are you doing this online or offline?

    I’ve been doing this online, via the plugin “Search & Replace”, as well as another that I can’t recall the name of now, but it seems that every time i enter in this info, it comes back as a null value:

    ? Attempting to perform search and replace …
    ? Search … and replace with

    And so on… Tried searching in PHP MyAdmin, but decided to back out before I got in too deep on that one.
