Hi there, I want to remove a navigation sidebar that shows on most of my pages. I tried deleting the text of the sidebar.php in both the parent theme (Cherry) and the child theme, but I didn’t notice any difference (so I restored the regular sidebar php files).

I’ve been reading around, and my best guess after reading was to erase the sidebar text in the editor, so since that didn’t work I’m asking for help.

Here is an example of one of my pages with this issue: https://mensroundup.com/testimonial/

The navigation should just be a widget that you can drag right out of there and leave the rest, if that’s what you want to do.

In the Dashboard go to Appearances>Widgets and you should have the editing screen to just remove that widget.

If not, your theme is a commercial theme and I’m afraid we don’t have access or ways to keep up with all of them, so per our Welcome page you’ll have to try and get help from them.

When I looked at the widgets, there weren’t any there to remove, but if I add a widget, that widget will replace what used show in the sidebar on the pages. Don’t know how to get it show nothing, but I think the Facebook widget I have now will be good.

    Thank you!

You’ll have to go to the theme help beyond that, we don’t have access to all of them per the Welcome page statement.

    Commercial Products
If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.
