Removing old Short Codes and empty paragraphs

I’m importing content from a blog to a new website including the blog and the old blog has a lot short codes I want to eliminate. Is there a way to do this with Search Regex?
Also need to remove empty paragraphs as well (I know they are there but WordPress hides them, when I look in Database I see blank spaces vs <p> tags.
