Removing only time from blog post?

Apologies if this is a FAQ but I can’t find a solution.
It does not look like there is a configurable way to remove the time stamp only form a blog post? I wish to have only the date showing. Perhaps some themes add this config – I use Suffusion.
I found a post https://kriesi.at/support/topic/hide-time-not-date-in-posts-widget-in-child-theme-of-enfold/ which suggests to modify class-framework-widgets.php however, I searched my WordPress instance for class-framework-widgets.php but could not find it…
Any thoughts are much appreciated.
