• I’m using this plugin along with Visual Composer. Everything works fine when I create a page. But when I go back and make any edits to a page then it strips out the paragraph breaks and leaves me with one huge paragraph. If I disable this plugin then everything is fine. But we want to use this plugin.

I have “Stop removing the <p> and
tags when saving and show them in the Text editor” selected and have tried PS Disable Auto Formatting as well. But so far the only way to keep this from happening is to disable TinyMCE Advanced.

Sounds like the “Stop removing the <p> and <br> tags…” option is not compatible with Visual Composer. Don’t think I can do anything to make it compatible, will have to talk to the Visual Composer’s authors.

@jwiere03, did you ever manage to figure out a resolution to this? I’m having the same issue.

We ended up dropping TinyMCE Advanced and using another plugin. What do your require the TinyMCE Advanced plugin for? I can find out what plugin we used. But I believe we were only using it to set font size, so that is the only capability the alternative plugin gives you.

The site we’ve built uses BBPress. So we’re using Tiny MCE Advanced to give the BBPress users a really nice interface to use on the forum. The problem is that Tiny MCE Advanced also replaces WP’s default TinyMCE in the backend. Because the backend users also make use of Visual Composer, we’re left with this issue :(. The easiest solution would be to force the default Tiny MCE in the backend, while keeping the TMCEA plugin activated… Not sure how to go about that though, haven’t investigated yet.

I cannot keep paragraphs from running together every time I edit another module. I don’t have Visual Composer. But do have the paragraph problem.
