Removing placeholder

    By default, the text field created by the Autocomplete service contains standard placeholder text. To modify the text, set the placeholder attribute on the input element.

    Add to $html = '<input... this placeholder=''

    P.S.: I guess you need to add double inverted commas/double quotation commas, not single inverted commas/single quotation commas. (“”, not ”).
