I’m rather new here and just experimenting with various themes and plugins.

One thing I really can’t get is why pages have signatures at bottom with “posted by” like posts. I mean when building a corporate site, pages, by definition static, don’t have authors, Microsoft pages are not signed by Bill Gates.

I went through this forum and found several instructions on how to edit or hack some files in order to get rid of this, but I’m really curious: is this the correct way of doing? Are there still no global settings for pages that disable this sort of signature? If I have to go through all those edits for each theme I’m testing I’ll spend most of my time editing their files…

    Any help welcome!

  • Any kind of “posted by” text is theme specific. In most themes you will be able to edit this in page.php or single.php. Again, this all varies based on how the theme is setup. Hope this helps ??
