    Am a newbie and have tried other solutions suggested in other forums without success.

    #1 I have not been able to remove “Theme: Base WP by iografica.it | Powered by WordPress” from the Baseshine Theme. Adding “remove_action(‘wp_head’, ‘wp_generator’);” to my child theme’s css did not work. It is not clear in the footer.php what copy to edit and then embed in my child theme css.

    #2 I’ve been able to change the css to make the navigation colors what I want. Now there is a line of copy I want it to appear in that same color within the body of the webpage. I’ve added a class to the css thinking that would be the best way to change that one instance on each page. Can you advise me what I am doing wrong for both of these items?

    .specialeffects {
    color: #61a542 ;
    font-family: Georgia, ‘Times New Roman’, serif;
    }

    Hello, why you want to remove credits link? have you installed a child theme? For custom css and if you want to remove credits link simply upgrade Base Wp to premium version.

    Yes, I’ve used a child theme and had altered some css to work better with the color scheme I had in mind. Your theme is lovely but the powered by wordpress and ad for your company at the bottom makes the finished website look unprofessional and therefore I cannot use it. I already experimented with another free theme this weekend and have redesigned the site with another. I’m sorry I won’t be using your theme this time. Best wishes.
