Removing search bar from wp Theme

There’s not many ways to say this without at least some techie talk…

Unless there’s a setting in the theme (which there probably isn’t seeing as how you’re asking here) the easiest way to remove the search bar from the site is to look for the file search-form.php and delete all of the content in that file. I think that you may be able to just delete the file, but I haven’t got anything in front of me to test that with at the moment, so I can’t be sure of that.

This won’t work — if the searchform.php file doesn’t exist, the default search form will be used instead.

What you need to do instead is delete the function that inserts the search form. It’s probably in the header.php file, and it will look like <?php get_search_form(); ?>
