Removing Site Title on Bottom of page

I am using the blank canvas theme. The site title is appearing at the bottom of my page as a link to the homepage (which is the only page). I have tried hiding it with a plug in and with css code. It looks so dumb at the bottom of this page and I have no idea where to look for an answer anymore. The only way to remove is to remove the site title from my page, which isn’t a good answer.

Can anyone please help.
