Removing templates from Template dropdown

    Hi there,

    I’m setting up a site and I’ve started my design based on the Monocrome’ template.

    The problem is that the lovely chap (or chapess) who designed it has given me far too many options of page templates for the time being. So what I’d like to do is just keep 2 options in the Template dropdown that appears on the Edit Page screen.

    I’ve been into the files and just tried renaming them (so the database couldn’t find them) in the hope that they would magically just disappear from the dropdown. But sadly they didn’t.

    Can anyone help?

    A valid page template is a result of this construct inside the template:

?>
