Removing the First Entry on wp_get_archives

Hi,

I am working on a site now which will have an annual archive, so the listing on the sidebar will look like

2010
2009
2008
ect…

But the client doesn’t want the current year to show in the archive, as those posts will be on the main blog.

So my question is how to remove the first entry. I know you can get limit the earlier entries, but I don’t know and hitting y head against the wall to get rid of the first entry (in this case 2010).

Any help would be appreciated.
