Removing the 'Leave a reply' area on each page

  • Hi,
    On my newly created site, each page has an invitation to leave a reply/comment. I have ‘Default article settings > Allow people to post comments on new articles’ unchecked but the form fields are still there. How do I remove them (globally) please?
