Removing the name fields

    Hi Brandon!

    I was successful getting my email capture set up with aweber and enews extend on WordPress.

    However, I would like to just have one field on my website so people can just enter their email and don’t have to enter their first or last name.

    So it would just say something like:

    Subscribe to my email list!

    Then the box for entering email.

    No first name box or last name box.

    Is that possible, and if so how?

    Hi Stacey,

    Sorry for the delay. As far as the plugin is concerned, simply don’t include a form field entry for either the first or last name fields.

    Depending on your mailing list server settings, you may need to make a further tweak so that they don’t reject it for not including it. With aweber, there is typically a hidden field that has required name,email. Removing name from that should have it work for you.
