Removing the plugin destroys my WP installation!
-
Hi,
I was using this plugin a long time since I was using MyBB as my community platform. After changing over to discourse there was no need for the MyBB plugins in my WP installation, so I’ve removed them.
Shortly later I got notice that my site was completely messed in the design. Several hours of analysis with restoring backups back and forth I’ve found that *removing this plugin* breaks my site completely.
Also interesting is that I have *two similar* entries of the plugin in my plugin section in the WP backend – one is activated, the other is deactivated.
I’ve tried to remove just the plugin files in wp-content/plugins, but that’s the same result. Seems that the WP core does the same actions in the database in this case as removing it via the plugin page.
For now there seems to other way as leaving it where it is. But the feeling about this is not quite good.
I’d highly appreciate ideas how to get rid of it.
Thanks!
