• I’m very confused on how to remove the grey box/picture that says “Zunnia” and how to replace it with a picture of my own. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    @gregwainberg some minor issue with the theme, update is coming in soon.

    However, for a quick fix:

    1- Go to Appearance -> Editor
    2- Click and edit slide.php file
    3- Add
    <?php if ( is_sticky() ) { ?>
    on top of the file and
    <?php } ?>
    at the end of the file.
    3- Update the file.

    Try that and let me know if that works.

    @swpthemes Thanks a lot! That got rid of the “Zunnia” picture. Would you know how to put a picture of my own in there?

    @gregwainberg, use a Feature Image for your post. That should replace the default image. Make sure your image is 960×400 dimension or larger so WordPress can crop correctly.

    @swpthemes – how do I turn comments off for a Static first page? I don’t want comments there – only on subsequent posts … thanks.

    @dmunro I think you can disable comment on the pages. Try to check with WordPress pages options. Screen Options -> Discussion -> Uncheck both ping back and comment.

    Thanks – but no such luck. Neither the “Pages” tab or the “Comments” tab allow for any disabling. Under “General Settings” there’s a “Discussion” tab – but no options there affect the “Static” home page.

    @dmunro, you need to learn how to operate WordPress first. You can Google it if needed.

    By the way, please open your own thread as it is different topic.

    will do – but I know WP – have about 6 sites – but this is first “Zunnia” theme. I like elements of it – but not if I can’t control certain aspects.

    @dmunro, go edit a page, click “Screen Options”, then check “Discussion” and scroll down to uncheck both comment and pingback, that should do it.

    Thist works with all themes, and some theme designed without the comment compatibility on pages, where as Zinnia can have comment on pages.

    Please open your own thread and respect other’s thread and its content.
