removing widgets from sidebars?

  • i’ve just updated a very old blog i had that had handmade sidebars as the theme wasn’t widget compatable. i’ve just finally updated this blog to the latest version and now the widgets are working, except i dont want them to, i want to keep using the old handmade sidebars i had. how do i force wordpress to ignore the widgets and just read and use my old sidebars?

    Hi,

    It seems that your theme is designed with dynamic sidebars. For that you need to edit the sidebar;php file of your theme and remove the default code of the sidebar widgets and add your own designed widgets.
