Removing \wordpress from the URL

Word. Up.

So I’ve got my blog up and running, and it’s lovely. Now I want to have it so that the URL is simply ‘www.mydomain.com’, rather than ‘www.mydomain.com/wordpress’. I got to this stage before and got into huge amounts of problems trying to achieve this – changing nameservers and stuff, and it was a harrowing ordeal. doodlebee helped me out massively, and now I’m back on track.

So is there an easy way of doing this? I’m sure I found a help document about is previously but I can’t find it again now.
