• I simply can’t figure out how to remove two bad images/links from my site. The images do not load on any page and I just want them gone! I’ve been reading through the forum but haven’t been able to fix the issue. I’m a bit of a novice and this issue is driving me cravy.

If you’ve deleted/removed the images, you need to remove the links from your home page. What happens when you edit the home page?

That’s what I’ve been trying to do, but I can’t figure out where the links are located to delete them. I’m not sure if that makes sense.

Have you asked the guys who built the site? https://www.imivegas.com/

Yes, they refuse to help and say the problem is with WordPress. Very annoying.

So what do you see when you edit the page? Is there a front-page setting for the theme? And if they’re such <insert word here>, why do you give them a link in the footer of your site?

I never noticed that! Deleted! There is no front page theme, just tons of not easily identifiable pages. If I go through each page what should I be looking for? I don’t want to delete the wrong image or link on accident.

When you’re logged in and looking at the front page, click edit on the black admin bar at the top of the browser screen.

I’m on the edit screen. But keep in mind, the images I’m referring to are on each page and do not load anywhere. No clue what they are.

Those images aren’t on your site at all — their on your developer’s

    https://imivegasdev.com/gowerbluck/wp-content/themes/modernize-flexibility-of-wordpress/modernize-v3-13/images/bar.png

Install the plugin “better search replace”. Search for https://imivegasdev.com/gowerbluck and replace with https://gowerdivorcelaw.com

Once you’ve done the replace, you can delete that plugin.

I think I did it. It initially seemed to crash the website (max page size error?), but now it is back up and the problem is still there. Did I do it wrong?

It may be that the link is hard coded in your template files. If so, you’ll need to edit them.

Try this https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/string-locator/ and search for imivegasdev

Great! It found both of them. How do I edit them without accidentally destroying my site?

Do you have FTP access to your site?

Download the files and make copies. Edit the files to do the right replacement and upload them, replacing the ones on the site.

    (@mikesgower)

I’m not sure what that means exactly. Sorry. I’m a novice. I just want whatever those images/links are gone from the site.
