I renamed the admin page with your plugin. When going to the wp-admin, the plugin behaves accordingly (Not available.) However when I go to the url that I renamed the admin page to, I get a 404 error. I am 1000% sure I am typing in the correct url (as it even showed up in the history of my browser).

This actually happened to me before with your plugin on another site, but somehow (not sure what I did) I was able to fix it. This time though, it will not resolve.

This is a fresh WP install, and the only other plugin running besides yours is Wordfence.

I tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling. Now every time I reinstall the plugin and activate it, it immediately goes to the 404 page. It doesn’t even ask me if I want to reinstate the security setting from before the deactivation…

Hi, try the following documentation. Let me know if this helps you.

    Kind regards

Nope, as soon as I click on the “settings” of the reset plugin, it goes to a page saying “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Hi, try the following. Disable all other plugins except the plugin in the documentation above and try again.

I have same issue as initial post. Cannot login to admin page anymore

@canvasmm, can you create a new support thread.

    Thank you

@canvasmm you can disable the plugin in the database via the phpadmin. Once disabled, you can login again.

I have had to delete all the tables that the aiowps plugin made, I’ll see if that helps and whether I can reinstall the plugin again…

@callunairis, just one question. What permalink structure do you have set up in your site?

    Thread Starter callunairis

    (@callunairis)

I had the out-of-the-box permalink structure, hadn’t changed it in WP yet when it happened. I think it was set to month and name I believe, or at least with a date. But I changed it to post name later. Why do you ask? Have there been issues with that?

I just tried to reinstall your plugin again, and it is finally working properly. Even with all the settings and the rename of the wp-admin URL. Maybe something was corrupted in the database tables, and since I have deleted those, if that’s what it was, they are not causing any problems anymore.

@canvasmm you might want to try that as well…

I am happy to know that you have resolved the issue. In some cases a complete fresh install of the plugin will work. I am almost certain it was the database tables that were corrupted.

I will mark this support thread as resolved.

    Enjoy the plugin.

    Kind regards
