Rename on Import?

  • Is it possible to set the plugin to work with images that are imported rather than uploaded?
    For example, I am importing images from an external site to my website and was hoping the plugin will rename them on import depending on the Post Title that they are attached to.

    I noticed the Pro Version has “Renaming not only on upload but when attach media to a post too” maybe that’s what I need?

    Hello, Sorry for the delay.

    Yes. The premium plugin can rename files directly on media library.
    It really can rename files depending on the post title they are attached, but in this case, the images have to be featured images.

    I don’t know what you mean by attached to comments. Can you explain it?

    Basically I have a plugin that imports product review and their images.
    Example: https://prntscr.com/iasu3a

    But they get imported with strange names with no alt tags etc into my media library…
    I’m hoping your premium plugin would rename them on import since they go into the media library?

    Hi, sorry for the delay.

    They will not be renamed after the import. You will have to select the images that need renaming on media library and after that you’ll have to click on “Update filename” on the bulk actions.
