Rename plugin + stylesheet

  • What is the easiest way to rename the plugin + stylesheet so it′s used with a custom name in the source code? Backend can be as normal.

    To rename the plugin (the name that shows on your Plugins page) you’d need to modify the “Plugin Name: Ditty News Ticker” at the top of the “wp-content/plugins/ditty-news-ticker/ditty-news-ticker.php” file.

    The stylesheet just has a name of style.css.

    If the plugin is updated, these changes will go away though. What’s the reason for trying to rename these things?
