Rename without regenerating thumbnails?

  • I notice you delete and regenerate the thumbnails upon rename. Could you modify this to perform a rename without regeneration.

    It seems inefficient to do as it currently works, as it results in all optimized images that were compressed/minified being restored to their unoptimized version.

    Some compression plugins even require credits or payments for each image compressed, and your plugin would deplete it even though there’s no actual change to the image’s content.

    Hi Jumbo,
    some server doesn’t support file renaming so the file is deleted and a new file is created with the new name, this trigger the thumbnails regeneration.

    I don’t think it will be possible to avoid this operation chain but I’ll look for a more efficient strategy.
