First… great plugin! I’m using the 4.2 version of Quick PayPal Payments, 4.5.1 of WordPress, typical LAMP stack (php 5.5.x, apache 2.4.x, mysql 5.5.x).

    1. I’m using the “add textbox for comments” option on a PayPal form.
    2. I’ve checked the box next to this to enable it, made it required with the checkbox, and added “Please enter the full name of the student(s) you are sponsoring here so we can give them credit! If not sponsoring a particular student, please just put “donation” here. Thanks!,” so that this becomes the message seen by users.
    3. In the WordPress backend, under Payments, I see the renamed field and the values submitted by users.
    4. Whether I select the checkbox for “show addresses” in the Payments area or leave the checkbox empty, the “add textbox for comments” column (which is now renamed to the hideously long message) does not export into a csv list with the csv export available in the Payments area.

Is there a way to get this column exported into the csv file created from the Payments section?

Super greedy sort of unrelated but kind of related question. Although the “add textbox for comments” field is marked as required in the PayPal form settings, it seems to become unrequired (perhaps because I’ve filled the textbox on the form settings with the long message to the user?). I say this because a few users seem to have been able to submit the form without the “Please enter the full name of the student(s) you are sponsoring here so we can give them credit! If not sponsoring a particular student, please just put “donation” here. Thanks!” message changing to a student’s name. So it would seem that it’s just firing through without a user change, rather than requiring them to change the value.

  • Yes.

I can fix both of these issues. The CSV one is easy so will hopefully be the second. If you contact me via the plugin website I can’t send you an update to test when it’s done.
