Renaming Sub-directory Issue

Hello all,

I have recently renamed, then removed a sub-directory, now to only create a sub-directory install again with the same name as the one I removed. A bit complicated and confusing I understand, but I wasn’t set on a sub-directory name until finally making a final decision on going with the name that I didn’t think I wanted.

My issue now is that after re-creating the sub-directory name, my links are showing up with an addendum to them, such as example.com/abc/shop-2 instead of example.com/abc/shop. How do I go about removing an entire sub-directories install and pages etc so I can start with a clean slate of the new sub-directory install so there won’t be conflicts such as this?
