• Running WP 4.9.6 test installation on Windows 10, almost no contents in site, site seems to work without problems except for the error reported in this thread.
    BackupWordPress 3.6.4
    No other active plugins.

I always get the following error message:
php: ZipArchive::close(): Renaming temporary file failed: Invalid argument, C:\wamp64\www\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\backupwordpress\classes\backup\class-backup-engine-file-zip-archive.php, 46

The size of the backup zip file varies a lot (e.g. 10 MB, on the next backup done immediately after 81 KB, on the next 3 MB etc.). The database backup is truncated or missing in the backup zip archive (the files appear to be propely backed up). Only one backup *might* be complete in spite of the error message.

Referencing the following thread, which acknowledges a similar or the same error, but offers no solution. Two more threads reported similar errors, no solution offered.
