• My company is moving our site to WordPress, we are hosting with SiteGround. Our current set up is the Craft CMS which has a production url but then when it renders – it rewrites to our home page

The reason why we’ve done this is we’re a technology company and we host the .com domain on site, but due to the amount time it would take to do updates hosting on-prem – cybersecurity, etc. etc.- we need to use a 3rd party host which means a new domain like “kleinschmidt-production.com” BUT we want the website to render/show up as [link below]

Our hosting company says that our developer needs to do the rewrite – he has, he has gone into the wp-admin file, the PHP, and SQL tables to have the production domain appear as the main dot com domain BUT it keeps getting wiped on and returning 500 errors. Our host says check with our developer, the developer has asked the host questions and we are constantly going around in circles.

I know WordPress is domain-dependent but there must be a way to have a production domain that renders with a different domain address – if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to accomplish. As a guess, I think the “dynamically” parts of this and the following section will help you. If not precisely, perhaps a similar concept using the same constants will accomplish what you need.
