    Setup:
    Free Membership with finite access for 3 days.

    When a user’s membership expires, an email is sent to them to renew. After the user presses the renew button, the page will say that it was “unsuccessful” and the user is still in “expired” state from the account page. But then the following day, when the user logs into the account it will say it is active.

    Hey there billpoker,

    How are you doing today?

    Would you mind posting a screenshot of the error message that you get a user when you try to renew membership so I can better understand the issue and try to test this on my sandbox site.

    3) After pressing the Renew Button. This page is shown briefly and goes away by itself to number (4) below:

    5) Go Back to Renew Option Page (Notice the expired date changed, “Membership expired since February 27, 2016 12:00am” In (2) above, it says February 18, 2016

    Hey again billpoker,

    Thanks for this awesome explanation and for the screenshots ??

    I’ve tested this specific scenario and I’m getting the same results so this is a bug in the plugin, I’m assuming there is some missing logic with free membership being finite and actually renewing membership that is free.

    I’ll forward this to our developer so he can investigate this further.

    Hi Bojan,

    Also, to note that after renewing, none of the auto email works. As in
    “Subscription – Before expires”
    “Subscription – Expired”

    When do you think a fix will be available?

    Hey Bill,

    The emails probably don’t work because there is an issue with the whole renewing workflow for this specific scenario, once our developer fix this I’m pretty sure emails will work properly as they do work normally for other membership levels.

    When do you think a fix will be available?

    Unfortunately I don’t have an ETA on when the update will be released. I’ll post in the thread as soon as we have the fix for this one.
