• As the use of your plugin is new, none of our members have needed to renew yet (yearly renewal). Although, I am a little foggy on how it will go when it is time for them to pay again.

I have the option where an expired user can still log in.
    I read in your documentation:
“Now, your existing members can log into the site, go to the renewal page and pay for it. When a logged-in user makes a payment, it will apply the payment to their exiting account.”

Question #1: Do the members NEED to be logged in, in order for their payment to paypal be applied to the renewal? And if so, then I guess the page that members land on with the paypal button, would have to be password protected,… but if they are expired, then they still won’t be able to see the page anyway. ?

#2: How does your plugin know that they paid for “renewal” and not for a “first time” membership? Will the paypal process accidentally try to add them as a new user?

    Thank you in advance

Hi in regards to your first question. When a members membership has expired they will be able to log into their account but they will not be able to view any protected content until they make another payment.

The plugin takes care of this, which answers your second question.

    Regards
