    On a client’s store that uses Woo Subscriptions and Membership the 8.8.0 update seemed to not be marking successful renewal orders as complete. These orders had just a subscription renewal in them, and while the money was appearing in Stripe, as well as the subscription renewed, the order was being left “processing”. This did not happen in 8.7.0 where such orders as intended behavior were marked as “complete”, so for the time being I have rolled back the gateway plugin to version 8.7.0. This feels to me like some kind of bug, but for now I’m also holding off on updating the gateway again until the next update where hopefully this can be resolved.

    We understand your concern regarding the issue you’re experiencing with the Woo Subscriptions and Membership with the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway 8.8.0 update.

    From your description, it sounds like there might be an issue in the update that is causing subscription renewals to remain in the “processing” status instead of being marked as “complete”. This is certainly not the expected behavior, and I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

    I’ll post a support request there, but I want to emphasize that this only started with this free plugin’s update, and so should be something this free and public support forum can help figure out. So at minimum it was good to post here so others who may have similar issues see it.
