Reorder events list – Newest first

I would like to reverse the order of our event listing as seen at https://www.co.apache.az.us/events/category/bos_action_agendas_2015/

I found this post which is similar but for shortcodes. I am able to reverse the order via shortcode on pages but would like to be able to do this for results from the event list widget.

Presumably that would be a template edit but I haven’t managed to figure out how to do it yet.

Interestingly, our theme seems to think the order is backwards since the buttons don’t match the action (older/newer).
