    Hi

I recently received this email warning from the hack protection:

The following official WordPress core files are missing from your site:
    – wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.js.gz ( Repair file now / www.ads-software.com source file )

However when I click on ‘repair file now’ I just get taken to the dashboard. Could you please tell me how do I repair the file?

    Thanks

If the automatic repair now isn’t working, then you can download the latest WordPress ZIP from www.ads-software.com and replace the file manually. You could also (temporarily if you like) turn on the automatic repair option and see if that works for you.

I will try your suggestion, however I would like to get this working if possible.

I had a similar problem a while ago with the two factor authentication. I was getting the email but then clicked on the confirm link and it wouldn’t log me in. Seems to be a problem with anything email related.

    Thanks

I’ve turned on the automatic repair option, however I’ve just received an email telling me that the same file is missing and needs repairing, so I guess its not automatically repairing it.

    The repair file link is:

    https://[domain]/wp-admin/?shield_action=repair_file&repair_file_path=wp-includes%2Fjs%2Ftinymce%2Fwp-tinymce.js.gz

However when I navigate to this I get redirected to /wp-admin. Do you know why this is happening?

Its frustrating because two of the features that I really like about Shield are the two factor authentication and automatic repairs, neither of which appear to be working for me.

Any ideas of things I could test to find the problem would be welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi again,

Replacing the file manually seemed to work (no more warnings).

I got the same warning on a different site. I checked the file and it isn’t missing, so for some reason I’m getting sent a warning when it is not valid. Just thought I would let you know. If you would like any diagnostic information (if there is any) let me know.

    Thanks
