Repeated 404 errors for four WCP Contact files

    Every morning I log into my site’s dashboard and check several logs, one of which is a list of 404 errors encountered by site visitors.

    The following four WCP Contact files each appear in that 404 error list a handful of times, only when I (as Admin) log in; the only time these errors occur:

    /wp-content/plugins/wcp-contact-form/assets/js/admin.js-roque-script-nulled?ver=4.2.2
/wp-content/plugins/wcp-contact-form/assets/repeater/js/admin.js-roque-script-nulled?ver=4.2.2
/wp-content/plugins/wcp-contact-form/assets/css/admin.css-roque-script-nulled?ver=4.2.2
/wp-content/plugins/wcp-contact-form/agp-core/assets/repeater/css/admin.css-roque-script-nulled?ver=4.2.2

    I haven’t noticed any issues, but I thought you’d want to know and tell me how to stop the errors from occurring.

    This is described on plugin change log:

    Roque Script Killer Info: Additional filters added to kill/null Roque scripts and styles in other plugins and themes from loading in BPS plugin pages and breaking BPS plugin js and css scripts. Nulls/Kills Rogue Scripts from loading in BPS plugin pages. Nulls/Kills Rogue Styles from loading in BPS plugin pages. Note: If you are seeing 404 errors in your Security log like this: jquery-ui.piklist.css-roque-script-nulled then see the link above for how to prevent these 404 errors from being logged in your Security Log.

    Seems this issue related to work of this plugin, perhaps in this case, the best suggestion will be ask about this issue in BulletProof Security support.

    Sorry for the delay. I have not yet brought this to the attention of BulletProof Security support but will do so now.

    OK, we will wait on your feedback.

    Regarding to our previous message about BulletProof Security with copy-paste form plugin changelog, if we understand principles of work of this plugin correctly it works in following way: when you load BSP plugin pages in the Admin panel, the plugin adds suffix “roque-script-nulled” to all other javascripts and css files that are not related to this plugin and are not WordPress native scripts.

    Since these scripts with the suffix does not exist, they are not loaded and an error 404 is written to the log.

    Probably this plugin tries to secure its pages, but this does not mean, that scripts are really malicious or infected.

    The List of files that you sent (js and css files) are using for work and styling in the Admin Panel for our plugin. Seems, BulletProof Security marked them as “roque-script-nulled” as described above.

    We hope that this info help you to find out with this issue.

    The author of BulletProof Security has assured me this is only a conflict between BPS and another plugin that also logs 404 errors, and that there are no real issues, as the errors occur ONLY when I check these logs.

    We can consider this issue solved.
