Repeated Folder Names

  • Having trouble with repeated folder names… the first few uploads went well and then it went a little wild… I am hesitant to do a Reset as I saw a post from over a year ago with the same problem and the Reset didn’t resolve it… anyway if you have any ideas please let me know.. have tried to attach screenshots of plugin folders and file manager folders to show the difference. Not sure if the screenshots are loading properly…

    Yes, doing a reset will not provide a permanent solution to this issue. The plugin will periodically scan all the folders in media library and compare the results with the database. If the relative path of the folder is not found, it will be added to the database.

    I don’t know if spaces in folder name are causing this issue. These folders were not made using Media Library Folders as spaces and punctuation marks are not normal URL characters and folder and file names have to be used when display or linking to a media file. I suggest remaking the folders through the create folder icon in Media Library Folders, moving the files from the old folder and then deleting the original and duplicate folders. Perhaps it will not duplicate the ones created though Media Library Folders.
