Repeating first name

  • Hello,
    I have been noticing lately that when a logged in customer goes to check out, their first name is repeated twice.

    For example:
    John Smith shows up as John John when logged in and checking out.
    John Smith shows up as John Smith when NOT logged in and checking out.

    I am curious if anyone else is having this issue.

  • I just saw this thread – you know what I have this same issue, it is very random and only applies to people who have opted to create an account.

    Looking in to the user on the wordpress backend, I can see that the shipping details shows the first name and surname is the same!!

    The strange thing is we have several customers who order very regular from us, and looking at their orders – for example: one customer ordered 10 times during October & November, out of them 4 of the orders had the first name same as their surname in the shipping details, this never happens on the billing details!!!

    Very strange, it is not a big deal for me but I thought I would post so the OP does not think they are going mad!!! ??

    Another interesting tidbit – is that it only seems to happen for customers from the UK.
