Hi developer, I am trying to create a front end form where the ACF image field is used to replace the default Gravatar. I follow this tutorial ( https://thestizmedia.com/acf-pro-simple-local-avatars/ ) and use the plugin to allow user to upload and edit their avatar. It seems to work at the backend (WordPress User profile), but failed when using the Elementor Image widget with dynamic “User Profile Picture”, the image widget still showing the default gravatar image.

Is there any solution for ACF frontend plugin to replace the default gravatar at the same time compatible with Elementor dynamic function, or would you consider to add this feature in the future?

    Best regards,
    Grey

Is it not possible to just select the ACF field from the dynamic dropdown?

Hi this now built into our plugin, but there is still the issue that Elementor shows the gravatar and not the local Avatar. We are going to add a dynamic tag for the user’s local avatar

    Any updates about this?

I’ve got ACF custom fields with an image upload and have used the tutorial
    https://thestizmedia.com/acf-pro-simple-local-avatars/
to install php in child theme.

ACF frontend is nicely uploading the image, but it’s not becoming avatar. I don’t know if that 2014 tutorial is no longer relevant, or? (FYI I need the avatar in comments, not as part of posts, so I’m not sure your answer about putting ACF into dynamic field would solve it?)

    Thank you!

    Hi Shabti,

    Any solution for this?
Allowing users to edit their user data easily from the frontend is not really functional if they can not upload/edit their Avatar image…

    Please help us! ??

    Kind regards,
