Replace/Fix This Plugin?

  • Is anyone attempting to bring this plugin up to code? I don’t think my skills are up to it anymore, and it’s literally the only WP plugin with this functionality. Makes for great recurring content and a platform to jump new articles off from – if I’m stuck for something to do I check the TDIH list for the next couple of weeks and look for events I want to write separate articles about.

    I don’t know what exactly the “security issue” is but I’d like to. Even cooler would be if someone picked this up, cleaned up whatever’s broken in the code, and got it back to functional status. There’s just nothing else out there I can find that does this particular job.

    Anyone?

  • I need to, this plugin. I Have this, but now I’ve some problem / isue. Can you say me where this plugin save the information db?

    I might be willing to upgrade and maintain the plugin but a quick glance shows it may need more patches than just the reported security issue to fully resolve issues and could take some time and effort to fork or re-submit it to the WordPress repository. Was there enough interest in the plugin previously to warrant updating it vs finding alternatives?

    I am trying to find something to replace this as well, I am still using it but not have any issues,

    We use this plugin at a local history museum and it works great so far. I don’t know of anything else like it.
