Replace image in theme

    I am attempting to replace an image that renders on every page and post of our site, including the homepage. Full disclosure, I’m still learning how WordPress works so I hope this request for help makes sense.

    When I inspect the page to locate the image I want to replace, the file path is <themes/sdsu/images/theacademy-logo.jpg> but I can’t seem to follow that path on the back end to locate the image file and replace it with the new file.

    I installed a plug in called Enable Media Replace and replaced the image in the directory with the new image, but that did not update the file.

    Could someone help point me in the right direction? I have inherited a pretty cumbersome WordPress page.

    As that image is part of your theme, you’d need to replace that file in the theme’s directory, either via FTP or using your hosting control panel’s file manager app.
