    Hi,

I am using BSR to update URLs through a site that we took back over and trying to fix a bunch of URL issues. When checking the front end it does not show the update but when rerunning BSR it shows nothing needs to be updated.

Example: There is a link in the Why Choose section for the reviews that I am changing *****.com/index.php/reviews/ to *****.com/reviews/ and the updates are not showing. I have cleared cache, cookies, tried other browsers, incognito, and other computers and all show the old link but yet BSR and the database do not show the old link existing.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @chadwheeler71,

Better Search Replace Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out with your query, we would be happy to assist!

Could you confirm for us if you are searching all tables when performing the search/replace? It’s possible Elementor (or another plugin) is storing the links (or cached links) in a different table.

It’s also possible that Elementor is saving URLs differently. Please try running a search where the slashes are escaped with backslashes, like so:

    https:\/\/www.google.com\/subdirectory\/

Another user found out that WPBakery escapes URLs like this:

    https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsubdirectory%2F

… so you can try something like that as well.

Let us know how it goes for you.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. That is so crazy but seems to have worked on a few that I tried, have hundreds more to do so I will let you know if I have any more issues but I think the \ before the / did the trick.
