Replace search box with text on right side of header?

    Let me start with saying great theme, it’s my favorite free theme by far.

    I’m trying to replace the search box with text if possible? My website is https://tampabayroofing.jrjbroofing.org. What I’m really after is placing the company contact number in the location or above the search box.

    Any help would be highly appreciated.

    I’ve searched this topic all over the web with no results.

  • You can do that by creating a child theme and modifying the header.php file so that you have a section to put your contact information instead of the search bar.

    Thanks for such a fast response, OK I created the child them but when I go to appearance editor the only file listed is style.css. I’ve tried to uploaded the header.php file via ftp but my problem is what header file to upload to my child them? My options are header.php, full width, header.php, plus I have another header.php file located in my templates directory. I’m not sure which one I should upload.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    You should upload the header.php from the parent theme folder located in wp-content/themes/zalive. This way, your child theme will use this file instead of the parent header.php.
