Replace the theme search with Ajax Search Lite

  • Hi,

    I’ve installed the plugin and worked perfectly with a custom short code as you can see in the homepage.

    Now I’m trying to use it also on the default search form of my WordPress theme (GeneratePress) and toggling to ON the option “Try to replace the theme search with Ajax Search Lite form?” doesn’t work.

    The theme has its own searchform.php file, do you have any suggestion to make it work?

    Hi,

    Well, if that option does not work, then the search bar is probably hard-coded to a given template part. Unfortunately those can only be replaced via editing the theme code.
