I’m rebuilding a site and the thumbnails are a mess. I noticed in my blog post grid, the sizes weren’t consistent so I installed this plugin to regenerate some newer sizes that weren’t there before. But now the images in the grid and the posts are using the tiny thumbnail size. I’ve cleared the cache and can see the image sizes in FTP. Any idea why this would happen or how to fix it?

Also, when regenerating, is it supposed to delete the thumbnails I’ve excluded in the settings?

    Hey @jodzeee! ??

When image sizes are generated, it doesn’t guarantee that third-party plugins will use these sizes. That might be what’s happening. When Perfect Images replaces the image source, it will utilize the Delivery Method you’ve selected. If it’s set to responsive images, it should use a src-set value with all the different sizes generated, allowing the web browser to display the most fitting one.

During thumbnail regeneration, only those without a corresponding size (not disabled but deleted) will be deleted. If any such thumbnails are detected, they should appear in red before the thumbnails are regenerated.

After looking at it more closely in FTP, I noticed that although the correct sizes were there, they had not been updated. I also noticed they were in an old folder from 2012 that isn’t showing up in the Media Library. I guess I should run Media Cleaner!
