Replacement Images sometimes don’t show

    Last year, several members reported that they had uploaded images, changed one or two and when the comp closed, their changes didn’t show up. the deleted images were gone but the replacement ones were a no-show.

    I thought this might be a caching problem but really i had no solution. I do ask the members every year at the beginning to do a screen capture of submitted images but the ones who have a problem certainly don’t.

    so evidence is slim.

    i really wonder if you’ve heard of this from anyone else. I’ve poked around with ftp to see if i can find a detailed log of member activities but i don’t see one.

    Hi Frank,

    No, this is the first I have heard of such an issue.

    If you are poking around log files you should probably check your php error log. It’s normally in wp-content, unless you moved it (check wp-settings.php). Look for items containing ‘EWZ’.

    Could it be that the user didn’t use the submit button correctly?

    You can implement the review page where a user can see the current state of all images uploaded to all forms.

    Our EWZ system does display the submitted images nicely and, personally, i always make a screen cap. But, so far, nobody else in the club does. Especially those who have had this problem. I remind them a couple times a year. So, let’s call this resolved until I can either reproduce the problem or get sufficient info to raise it again.
