• Hello, I have a page on my site (domain.com/careers). I have completely redone the page as a new draft (domain.com/careers-2/). I would like to swap the old /careers page with the new /careers-2 page and keep the URL /careers in order to maintain SEO (etc.) although I’m not 100% sure that is necessary.

I brought the old /careers page back to draft and renamed it /careers-original, changed the new /careers-2 page to /careers, and published the new page. However, the menus were still linking to the id for the old Careers page. [I ended up crashing the site trying to change the menu.] I talked to a developer, and he told me that my attempt was not possible.

What can I do here to swap the two pages? I use Advanced Custom Fields so creating a page takes some time. Since I already created the new one, I’d like to avoid recreating it. Are there any plugins that can help or is there some other trick I can use? I’ve thought of using a redirection, but I’m not sure that is the best option.

    Thanks
