Hi! I am looking for a way to replace multiple images. This is because I have 2 sets of images on my site – one set of “summer” images and one set of “winter” images.

I have about 50 images in each set, so replacing them one by one would take a very long time (even with a plugin that allows smooth replacement of 1 image).

Is there a way to “bulk” replace images with this plugin? Or does anyone have another strategy in mind to achieve this?

All the best and thanks for a great plugin,
    Linda

Hey @lindagustavsson – thanks for your question! ??

Unfortunately, we’re not aware of any way to bulk-replace images using a plugin.

The only way I can think of it would be to do this from a command line script that will bulk-copy the “winter” images over “summer” ones or viceversa.

    Regards,
    Alex

sorry @shortpixel could you expand on that script idea a bit more?

i’m after such solution, being able to use EMR to bulk replace specific images with their updated version (so same name, same type, same size, just… new pixels).

    would that be possible?

would it be possible to use, say, wp-cli and EMR, feeding EMR a CSV file with the list of filenames to replace and paths to replacements and see it happening?

    many thanks in advance
