Replacing slider with static image in Dazzling Theme

I recently installed the Dazzling theme on my site and would like to replace the slider with a static image. I found this feed in the forum,

It seemed straight-forward, until I tried to do it on my site. The slider is enabled and I cannot find <?php dazzling_featured_slider(); ?> anywhere in my index.php

I am sure I have done something wrong, so thanks in advance.
