Ok, so this may be a dumb question. I was under the assumption this tool would search for a phrase, and replace it in you DB. Once. When you hit Run. I now think I am misunderstanding based on issue here:

One of my company’s divisions was bought and I have been assisting with the new website. I created a duplicate of our current company site and modified it for the new companys’ needs. I used this plugin (search & replace) to change relics of Old Company name to New Company Name, to avoid having to do so manually.

Weirdly, I found instances were it did not catch the phrase, but besides the point at the moment.

MAIN URGENT PROBLEM: A press release was published, see link – it appears as though our old company name was rewritten on the public facing side. (Again, thought this plugin replaced stuff when you hit run, but did not actively replace stuff?)

Correct verbiage/company names exist in *backend content*. Correct company names/content exist in PDF on page (link at bottom) for reference.

Deleted Plugin. Did not correct issue.

    Two main questions.
    1. How do I correct the press release issue? I’m assuming I’ll have to go code diving somewhere, but I thought deleting the plugin would do it?

    2. Do I now have to go review the entire site manually as it looks like this plugin operates on a active basis and now if I’ve deleted it I will need to manually change company name everywhere?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

OH, also, didn’t see anywhere to try and Edit any active Search/Replace commands…

So not ideal operation, and frankly, this could have been another search/find plugin folder? but a file called “word-replacer” did exist in plugin files even though I removed (all said search/replace) plugins from wp-admin dash plugin section. I opened all three files inside word-replacer plugin (again, not sure that was *this* plugin)…. but none of the files contained any code rewriting any words on my site. Sooooo big question mark there. Purged browser/site caches again after removing this last folder. Site now displaying correct text.
