Reply only to author (parent) comments?

  • Hello –

    Is there a setting, or plugin, that will limit users to replying *only* to an author comment?

    I don’t want users to create new “parent” comments, but instead reply to existing parent comments (from the author).

    Example:

    Author Comment
    – User comment
    – User comment

    Author Comment
    – User Comment
