Hi! Thanks for the excellent plugin, by the way.

So I just realized that when I hit “reply” in Gmail to an contact form inquiry, it just replies to my default WP admin email (where the contact form inquiry got sent from). Looks like the “reply to” parameter of the email isn’t getting populated correctly with the sender’s email address.

From description of this plugin, though, seems like I should be able to just hit “reply” in Gmail and it should reply back to the sender’s email address.

Hmm… am I just missing something here?

    Thanks!
    Devin

  • Yes you should be able to just reply using the reply button. However, some email providers do not let you to send from any email address. I think gmail is probably one of those. If you were to try an smtp plugin along with another email provider instead you will probably then be able to do that.

I’m actually using an SMTP plugin through Mandrill. I’m pretty sure you can specify a unique “reply to” address when sending through Mandrill… hm.

I’m facing exactly the same issue, very annoying. Literally the only thing that lets this plugin down.

    Highlighted similar issues here.

I would be beyond grateful if these little annoyances could be ironed out…?

Your a legend either way though Meg! ??

The reply-to problem should now be fixed, please upgrade to 4.3.3.

Sorry it’s taken so long. Lots to do here!

Works perfectly now in Gmail. If I had a pack of Lifesavers I would send ’em your way. Thanks much, Meg!
