Please note, as I have found out the hard way:
1. If the email set up in the general settings is not the same as what is in the zoho mail settings, messages will not send and there will be no error that an error occurred in the php error logs
2. If using divi and a email is set in the contact form that is different than what is set in Zoho mail settings plugin, then again messages will not send and there will be no error that an error occurred in the php error logs.
Use case would be you have form that says: contact marketing that is supposed to be directed to: [email protected] and another form that says “contact sales” and that form is set to send to [email protected]. Then your zoho mail plugin is set to send from [email protected] then…NONE OF YOUR CONTACT FORMS WILL WORK and there will be no errors letting you know that.
One would expect the contact form data sent from “[email protected]” to be sent to either [email protected] or [email protected] …but they wont be.
So this really narrows the usage of this plugin, make sure to understand its limitations before using it. I can see how this could be used by spammers…but you could easily track the usage of spammer using their account for malicious emails and having normal usage is no more dangerous than smtp usage which again you can monitor…so I’m not understanding these security protocols.
That said if that doesn’t matter then the plugin seems to be working very nicely and fast. But would like to not have these surprise issues.
